Curv Terms of Use

Curv is provided for route planning, community route discovery, and navigation assistance. By using Curv, you agree to use the app responsibly and follow applicable traffic laws and road conditions.

Accounts and Community Routes

Curv accounts are used to link saved routes, route history, published routes, likes, Premium access, and subscription recovery to a stable user identity.

You are responsible for the routes and content you publish. Do not publish routes or content that is unlawful, harmful, misleading, abusive, or infringes the rights of others.

Navigation and Safety

Curv may provide route and navigation guidance, but it is not a substitute for your own judgment.

You are responsible for your safety and must follow traffic laws, posted signs, access restrictions, and current road conditions. Do not use Curv in a way that distracts you or creates unsafe riding conditions.

Curv can be used with Apple CarPlay and other in-vehicle displays. When using Curv this way, only interact with it when it is safe to do so, keep your attention on the road, and do not let on-screen guidance override what you see around you. CarPlay is the projection technology and platform provided by Apple, and your use of CarPlay itself is subject to Apple's own terms. Apple's terms govern the CarPlay platform only; they do not limit your responsibilities under these Terms, and Curv remains responsible for its own software under the disclaimers and limitations set out below.

Route Data and Accuracy

Curv generates routes and displays maps using third-party and open data sources, including map data from OpenStreetMap contributors and map tiles served through OpenFreeMap and MapLibre. Map data is © OpenStreetMap contributors and is made available under the Open Database License (ODbL).

Routes, distances, road classifications, curve and highway preferences, points of interest, and navigation guidance are generated automatically and may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate. Generated routes may include roads that are closed, private, seasonal, restricted, one-way, unpaved, prohibited to motorcycles or certain vehicles, or otherwise unsuitable or unsafe. Curv does not verify that any route is legal, passable, or safe for you or your vehicle.

You are solely responsible for evaluating each route before and while riding, and for following traffic laws, posted signs, access restrictions, and current road and weather conditions. Always prioritize what you see around you over on-screen guidance.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Curv is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. Curv does not warrant that the app, its routes, or its navigation guidance will be uninterrupted, error-free, accurate, complete, or safe.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Curv and its developer are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, property damage, personal injury, or other loss arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the app, including any reliance on generated routes or navigation guidance, whether used on a phone, through Apple CarPlay, or on any other in-vehicle display.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for gross negligence or intentional misconduct. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you; in that case, liability is limited to the smallest extent permitted by law.

Curv Premium

Curv Premium is available as monthly and yearly auto-renewable subscriptions.

Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings.

Premium access is linked to your Curv account for saved routes, community activity, route history, and subscription recovery.

Account Deletion

You can delete your Curv account from inside the app.

Deleting your Curv account does not automatically cancel an App Store subscription. You must manage or cancel subscriptions separately in your Apple ID account settings.
